Set in the picturesque town of Haddington, just minutes from Edinburgh Maitlandfield, this hotel has been named as one of ' Scotland's Hotels of Distinction'.
Boasting the charm of an old country house together with the quality and efficiency of a modern hotel, this gracious 2-storey mansion house was built in 1654 by the Earl of Wemyss and given to Colonel Maitland and his family shortly after being built.
The hotel’s new brasserie was refurbished in September 2007 and serves modern Scottish cuisine, prepared using locally sourced ingredients. The brasserie was commended by the East Lothian Food and Drink festival in 2007.
